Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) NFV is an essential technology for service providers. [1]We have developed a cloud environment for NFV of mobile packet core network. A general-purpose commodity server is commonly leveraged as a compute node in an NFV infrastructure. However, its EoS (end of sales) date is very short compared to a dedicated network node. As a result, an NFV infrastructure is supposed to have multi-generation / multi-vender server configuration for compute nodes. In this paper, we repot integration issues and operational issues for multi-generation / multi-vender compute node environment, and we describe our approaches for these issues.
