Experimental Evaluation of the taper slot antennas fed by the susupended strip lines

(in English) Nowadays, the dual-polirized wideband low-profile antenna arrays are needed in the area of the communication systems. So far, dual-polirized waveguide horn arrays were proposed, but the bandwidth to use are limited because of the cutoff phenomenon. Taper slot array antennas, well-known as wideband antennas, were also proposed, but they had to put coaxial connector to each antenna, which cost a lot.
Here, we propose a novel taper slot antenna fed by the susupended strip lines. We can use the subarray to reduce the cost, while obtaining the wideband characteristics. Also, the height of the feeding cuircuit can be reduced by bring the signal lines closer to the side walls . The design and mesurement results are presented, and good agreement of the two are observed.
