In this paper, we consider the parameter tuning of I-PD controller which achieves minimum settling time control under the constraint that the gain crossover frequency is bounded. We apply PSO for this tuning. When plants includes resonance terms, we use notch filters to suppress resonance characteristic, and we also apply PSO to design notch filters. We examine the usefulness of the method by applying it to the control problem of the hard disk head. |
