A Study on Radio Propagation Prediction of High Frequency Bands in Urban Environment Using Hybrid Method of Ray-Tracing and ER Model
Tetsuro Imai, Koshiro Kitao, Ngochao Tran, Yukihiko Okumura (NTT DOCOMO) AP2017-5
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In order to predict radio propagation characteristics of High-SHF (over 6 GHz) and EHF (mainly 30 - 100 GHz) bands which are utilized in 5G mobile communication system, availability of hybrid method of ray-tracing and ER model has been investigated. However, its performance in real environment has not yet been sufficiently clarified. In this paper, the features of the hybrid method are clarified, and its performance is evaluated by comparing with measurement results with 20 GHz in urban street microcell environment.
