Evaluation of 16X16 way One-body 2-D Beam-switching Butler Matrix

(in English) Characteristics of a 16×16-way one-body two-dimensional (2-D) beam-switching Butler matrix with short-slot 2-plane coupler is designed, fabricated, and evaluated at 22 GHz. The performance of fabricated one-body 2-D beam-switching Butler matrix shows 1.6 dB total insertion loss and 27.4% beam-coverage of hemi-sphere generated by 0.73 wavelength spacing between antenna apertures in the 2% fractional bandwidth.
