This paper presents a calibration method for measuring the channel capacity using a three-dimensional MIMO-OTA evaluation apparatus. First, the structure of the developed three-dimensional MIMO-OTA evaluation apparatus is described. Then, the calibration method for the reference level measurement and propagation environment is introduced. To verify the validity of the proposed method, experimental measurements of 2×2, 4×4, and 8×8 MIMO channel capacity were carried out. The results show that the measured results have a high accuracy compared with the analytical outcomes calculated by Monte Carlo simulation, demonstrating that the calibration method for measuring the channel capacity using the MIMO-OTA apparatus is confirmed to be valid. |
