A method to reduce the cost of a phased array antenna and to suppress grating lobes is well known as phased array antenna using a pattern reconfigurable antennas. However, it is difficult to achieve simple configuration because previous antennas consist of many control lines and switches. In this paper, pattern reconfigurable subarray with excitation phase difference circuit is proposed to obtain simple configuration. The feasibility of proposed antenna is shown through the numerical simulation and experiments. |
