Propagation Characteristics by Covering Objects in Street Environment

(in English) In the next generation mobile communication system, the street cell formed by using an antenna of a base station located at the low height of a street is considered. The radio waves are reflected and scattered by objects surrounding in such a street environment. This paper shows the effect obstacle to radio wave propagation in the street environment. Human bodies, vehicles and trees as the obstacles are modeled, and the effect of the obstacles on propagation loss and propagation delay is clarified by ray tracing.
