| (in English) | Picture books are one of the childcare elements that are indispensable for their emotional development. The reading of picture books to children or grandchildren by their parents plays an important part in enhancing their imaginative power. However, visually impaired parents often experience trouble in communicating the contents of picture books to their children, since they can have some difficulties not only in reading the stories but in describing the pictures. In this technical report, we developed a storytelling assistive system for the visually impaired parents to use with picture books that is based on a tablet terminal using speech sounds. | |
