Effect of the deformation in bending a cavity-backed slot antenna

(in English) Effects of the deformation in the cavity of a flexible cavity-backed slot antenna bent along a spherical surface on its reflection and radiation characteristics have been analyzed and measured. The antenna is designed for the operation frequency around 2.4 GHz. The characteristics of the bent antenna are analyzed with some simple models of the bent and deformed cavity. They are compared with a flat cavity case and measure ones. As a result, in the reflection characteristics, the calculated results of the model without deformation in bending case cannot explain the measured ones. On the other hand, it is confirmed that the calculated results of the models with deformed cavity agree with the measured results.
