Self-Interference Cancellation Technique for SDD Arrays Using Infinite Ground Plane

(in English) Recently, a full duplex communication using space division duplex (SDD) method has been proposed. A SDD method enables simultaneous transmission and reception over up- and down-links at same frequency band and same time by spatially separating transmitting and receiving systems employing multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology. However, in a SDD method, it becomes difficult to decode a desired receiving signal due to self-interference caused by a transmitting signal emitted from the same SDD array. For this matter, although we proposed a novel self-interference cancellation technique using only analog components, the enlargement of the array is inevitable. In this report, it has been clarified that not only improvement of interference cancellation effect but also downsizing of the array can be achieved using an infinite ground plane.
