[Tutorial Lecture] Measurement techniques of electromagnetic waves in Geospace

(in English) A wide variety of plasma wave phenomena are observed in Geospace, including the ionosphere and the magnetosphere surrounding the Earth. Plasma waves play an important role in structure, dynamics and energy transfer in these regions through the interaction with plasma particles and the geomagnetic field. Measurement of electromagnetic fields of the plasma waves not only gives us important information on in-situ plasma environment but also makes it possible to perform remote sensing of the structure of Geospace. In this report measurement techniques of electric and magnetic fields of the plasma waves generated and propagated in space plasmas onboard scientific spacecraft are introduced.
