Reconstruct-based Super Resolution based on Light Position Control for Digital Pathology using Contact Image Sensing

(in English) In the recent years, pathologists make diagnois using the microscope. However, it is difficult for the pathologists to make diagnosis using the microscope on-site because of the pathologist shortage and the increment of the number of the diagnosis. Therefore, we propose the lensless digital microscope for the telepathology system. Our lensless digital microscope is based on the contact image sensing, which holds a stained histological specimen between the glass slide and the image sensor. Our system is possible to make at a low cost because our system does not use the optical lens. However, the limit of the resolution of the images captured by our system depends on the pixel size of the image sensor. In this article, we propose the reconstruct-based super resolution method by controlling the position of the LED light based on the aperture of the image sensor. Experimental results showed that we can capture 20x magnification image.
