A study of jig for S-parameter method using microstrip line Part 3

(in English) Recently, the S-parameter method using a vector network analyzer and a measurement jig instead of a balun has been proposed whereby the differential input impedance of a balanced fed antenna can be found. In this report, to improve the measurement accuracy and to expand the frequency range of S-parameter method, the jigs are fabricated by the microstrip line. Moreover, measured results of the S-parameter method adopted the TRL calibration are compared with the measured results adopted the SOLT calibration and the compensating method using ABCD-matrix. The input impedance of the dipole antenna of two kind of length is measured, and it is compared with the calculated value using the method of moment. It is shown that the broadband measurement to the vicinity of 6 to 7 GHz is possible in the proposed method.
