Investigation of low loss half-mirror for tunable filter over 100 GHz

(in English) Rapid advances in millimeter-wave wireless communication technologies require accurate spectrum analysis in the frequency domain over 100 GHz. A tunable pre-selection filter is a key device in building such a spectrum analyzer. We have prototyped and evaluated a new tunable filter in the frequency range from 110 to 140 GHz. In this paper we investigate the reduction of loss in the half-mirror for a Fabry-Perot resonator built in the filter and report the simulated insertion loss of less than 4 dB.
