Digital watermarking for speech signal is an effective way to protect speech signal from unauthorized modifications. This paper proposed a speech watermarking method based on the modification on line spectral frequencies (LSFs) of the original speech. Watermarks were embedded in LSFs using quantization index modulation (QIM) method with different quantization steps. The proposed method was developed to be non-blind and blind watermarking methods. For both methods, we considered the sound distortion that introduced by the small changes of LSFs as well as the ability of bit detection that influenced by quantization steps. Three kinds of experiments with respect to sound quality, embedding capacity, and robustness for different speech codecs were conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed methods. The results we obtained indicated that the proposed methods not only has good embedding capacity while keeps the sound quality undistorted but also provides good robustness to speech codecs. |
