Parameter Study on Stacked Differential Mode Rectenna for Large Scale Integration

(in English) In this paper, a novel stacked differential mode rectenna is proposed and the characteristic impedance of feed lines is experimentally evaluated to achieve a high efficiency rectenna. The proposed rectenna constructed with a series connection of three microstrip antennas and two rectifying diodes. The ground planes of the microstrip antennas are separated by a slit. Two capacitors which act as DC storage and RF connections of the separated ground planes are mounted on the slits. This rectenna is suitable for the large-scale integrated rectenna due to its simple structure. The maximum conversion efficiency of 45.8 % was obtained for 0.027 W/m2 received power density when the characteristic impedance of each feed line is 140Ω.
