Design of a linearly-polarized radial line MSA array with circular patch elements fed by an L-probe

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper presents design of a linearly-polarized radial line microstrip array antenna (RL-MSAA). A circular microstrip antenna (MSA) fed by an L-probe which is arranged at the inside of the patch is used as a radiation element of the array. Radiation phase of the element is controlled within around 130 degrees by tuning dimensions of the element, therefore, the desired phase distribution of the array can be designed. In this paper, a RL-MSAA with three concentric rows of the circular MSAs fed by an L-probe arranged at a spacing of 0.65 wavelengths is designed and tested in 12 GHz.
