Evaluation of terminal position estimation by location fingerprinting technique using array antenna

(in English) A position estimation technique of wireless terminals is important in ubiquitous networks. Studies of the techniques have widely been performed and various methods are suggested. In this report, we experimentally evaluate the performance of the position estimation of wireless terminals by a position fingerprint method based on propagation properties. As the propagation property which we use for the location fingerprint, we adopt artificially-generated variation of signal strength of radio wave (RSSI) by array antennas. We carry out indoor experiment using the method and evaluate the estimation performance quantitatively.
