Decoding methods with channel estimation for spread spectrum digital watermarking

(in English) We propose methods to estimate optimal temperature for decoder
in spread spectrum watermarking. Semi-optimal decoders based on Bayes estimation have been proposed. Decoding with Nishimori temperature has better performance, when we know the power of channel noise. Finite-Simulated Annealing method annealing to certain temperaturehas more robustness even if the decoding temperature is far from the optimal one.
However, it is necessary to estimate optimal temperature.
We, therefore, proposed two temperature parameter estimations;
estimation using expected value of estimated messages
and one using statistic calculation.
We also evaluated performance of the finite-SA method using these
estimated temperatures.
As the results,
both estimations have good performance for natural images,
and also for artificial images which have large embedding errors,
the former estimation can estimate appropriate temperature
adapted to the errors.
