Deformation Detection Method in a Circular Metallic Tube Using Microwaves.

(in English) We propose high-speed and simple non-destructive inspection (NDI) method to prevent from accidents occurred by piping instructure failure. In this method, metallic pipes are regarded as waveguides and we can determine the existance of deformations by means of propagating electromagnetic waves. In order to verify this method, we performed numerical analyses and experimental measuaments and we estimated the location and the angle of a deformation.
