Radioactivity-level monitoring is very important for the immediate response of the government in terms of an emergency and for the peace of mind of the citizens. The paper presents an implementation design of a radioactivity-level awareness system using wireless sensor networks. The system can provide the collected data through a website and an android application. The radioactivity level differs significantly even at short distances. Because of this, the system provides a higher resolution data by deploying sensors in important locations such as schools and parks. The sensor data will be uploaded to the server and the website and android application will update the measurement data for the benefit of the users. Additional information like radiation facts, its effects, and frequently asked questions about radiation will be provided to make the system more user-oriented. |
