Scale Model Method for Mobile Propagation in Urban Area and Residential Area

(in English) In the research methods for radio propagation, the computer simulation and the measurement in a real city had been performed so far. In order to construct scale model method, the 1/70 scale models for real urban area and residential area were made, and propagation losses were measured. The measurement frequencies were 150 MHz for real environments, 10.5 GHz for scale models. The standard deviation of the differences between the propagation losses for real environment and scale model are 4.9 dB for urban area, 3.7 dB for residential area. The correlation coefficient between the propagation losses for real environments and scale models are 0.42 for urban area, 0.69 for residential area. Furthermore, the 1/350 scale model was examined.
