Growth of organic single-crystals in ionic liquid by vacuum deposition and their FET characteristics

(in English) Organic transistor characteristics of single-crystal phase pentacene were demonstrated. Ionic liquids (ILs) were used as a crystallization solvent in vacuum deposition of pentacene crystals. The crystal sizes were as large as 200 $\micro$m and their surface exhibits a molecularly step-and-terrace structure. IL also was used as a gate dielectric material in the organic transistors, as the result, the highest field-effect mobility exceeded 5 cm2/Vs.
