Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In wireless sensor networks, power saving is an important issue. The IEEE 802.15.4 beacon mode, which is a standardized sensor network-oriented communication protocol, controls synchronization and sleep schedule by using the parameters on duty-cycle. However, network-traffic-load is different depending on the application and topology, inappropriate duty-cycle causes the increase of power consumption and high latency. This paper proposes a new method to adjust SO depending on the traffic load. The proposed method achieves low power consumption and low latency. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
