Design automation of highly reliable VLSI using canary FF is proposed. Canary FF is used to detect timing error caused from parameter variations in deep sub-micron domain, aging deterioration and soft errors. Chip area and power overhead by canary FF is investigated by selectively replacing DFF to canary FF using proposed algorithm. |
