Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, broadband circularly polarized antenna using Artificial Ground (AG) Structure is presented. Proposed structure is a microstrip antenna on the AG structure. AG structure has no band-gap characteristics and in-phase reflection characteristics. In this paper, we present an effect on bandwidth when the substrate is extended in the Y-axis. Furthermore, the mechanism to enhance the bandwidth is discussed. This antenna is simulated by an FEM package, 10.1. Simulated results are 56.30% (4.48 – 7.99 GHz) in S11 bandwidth and 30.12% (5.47 – 7.41 GHz) of Axial Ratio bandwidth.
