This report analyzed electromagnetic wave propagation in the waveguidewith a dent.Usually,cutoff frequency depends on the size of the wave guide.
But,in case of waveguide has a dent,cutoff frequency is changed.Calculating many numerical experiments,we can found out a relationship between the shape of a dent and the cutoff frequency for the waveguide.The FDTD method was adopted for the numerical experiments.
Rectangular and circular waveguides as pseudo pipe models,were treated a model. Moreover ,in order to verify this method,actual experiments were performed,then the results gave good agreement with simulation results. |
