In order to suppress the increase of the global routing table size,
throughout address hierarchicalization
and multihoming that does not depend on routing mechanisms
are required.
This type of multihoming
can be achieved by a method for an end site to be allocated
multiple address spaces from upstream ISP's
and utilize all of them.
We call this type of multihoming as End-to-end multihoming.
We propose a Hierarchical Automatic Address Allocation (HAAA) protocol,
which considers end-to-end multihoming
and reduce the manual router settings. |
