| (in English) | The network currently plays significantly important roles in our society, and is expected to meet the changing demands and constraints in future; the network should be continuously evolving. Mobile communication is widely deployed, and some report says that mobile data traffic will increase 66 times in 5 years. In addition, NSF FIND observer panel points out that a future Internet should provide first-class support for mobile devices, including persistence of processes, connections, references, etc. In this context, this report will discuss future wireless networks, and important functionalities they should provide. In particular, we will focus on two networks; one is dynamic spectrum access network (DSAN) which enables effective use of diverse frequency, while the assigned frequency is not always used efficiently yet. The second one is DTN (Delay, Disruption, Disconnection Tolerant Network), which enables communication in challenged environment which can be featured by huge communication error or/and intermittent links, while conventional network architecture does not allow continuous communication there. The applications of these two networks are introduced as well. |
