Robust Iris Recognition Method for Fluctuating Iris Data

Most literatures show that most of iris identification techniques use space-frequency analysis such as wavelet and Gabor transformation. In this paper, we focus attention on J.Hong’s method. In this method, the variation of the directional properties of brightness of the image is used to describe iris features. In order to conserve the original signal while minimizing the effect of noise, scale-space filtering technique is applied. However, It is not explained how to select the scale-space filters. In this paper, we research how to select the scale-space filters. It is clarified to have to change the filter selection according to the degree of the additive noise of data. |
