We propose a method to detect 'contact' objects using both vibration motors and acceleration sensor.
While vibration motors attached to an object generate low-frequency wave, an acceleration sensor attached to another object detects propagated wave if these objects contact physically each other.
To have experiments for evalutaion of our proposed method, we implemented a small device which has acceleration sensor, a wireless network device, and a small vibration motor.
As the result of the experiments, we confirm our method can be applied to detect `contact' objects except for several materials. |
