In this paper, a voltage-source type ZCS-SEPP high-frequency multi resonant inverter with a constant frequency PWM controlled active auxiliary quasi-resonant lossless sunbber, which is composed of switched capacitor and two lossless inductors in series with the main switches, is newly proposed for consumer IH cooking and processing applications. The operating principle of the proposed high frequency inverter circuit is presented and asymmetrical PWM control scheme for high-frequency effective power regulation is described here in. The effective operating characteristics of this high frequency inverter using IGBTs are illustrated and evaluated on the basis of experimental results. Finally, in order to extend soft switching operating range under low power setting condition, a pulse density modulation (PDM) based power regulation scheme is actually discussed for this consumer IH high frequency inverter. |
