100年の歴史を誇る電子情報通信学会は、今年また新しい扉を開いて、次の100年に向けてスタートをしました。「超成熟社会」として量的拡大が望まれない中、ICT技術は、豊かで安全でサステーナブルな社会を創るキー技術です。昨年から始まった会誌のスマートフォンへのpush型配信は、小生が編集理事の時に、学生会員取り込みの為に提案したものです。会員に価値を創造する為、企画理事として貢献出来ればと考えております。

[Statement]
IEICE has over 100 year history and this year is opening year for next 100 year. “ Super Mature Society ” is now in Japan, we can not expect dramatic economic growth. However, for happiness, rich, safe and sustainable society, ICT is key for future. I proposed “ Journal of IEICE push service ” to your smart phone, for students and younger members. As the Director, I would like to make a contribution to create new value for IEICE members.

[Biography]
He received B.E.and M.E. degrees in engineering and a Ph.D. from Keio University, Japan, in 1981, 1983 and 1991, respectively. In 1983 he joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation's (NTT's) Communication Switching Laboratories. He is currently a Professor in Dept. of Information and Computer Science, Keio University. Former Director of IEICE Publication, the chair of Tokyo Branch. He is an IEEE Fellow and an IEICE Fellow.
