[Statement]
IEICE has been greatly contributing to the advancement of electronics, communications and information technologies as well as human resource development in industries and universities in Japan. IEICE has evolved in these fields as a core entity of technological innovations in Japan. However, optical and radio communication networks which IEICE has contributed are not sufficient to solve the social problems. We need cooperative works with other technological areas. IEICE should continue to evolve in order to solve a low birth rate and aging society problem, an environmental destruction problem, and a globalization problem. I believe that it is important to realize global cooperation between IEICE and other institutes in addition to industries and universities. If appointed, I will contribute toward the advancement and improvement of IEICE Communications Society activities for its brighter future with my passion.
