プロフィール・抱負
電話が発明されてから百有余年、情報通信は成熟した産業となり、その研究開発は、ともすると「深さ」「詳細さ」「改善度」を志向する傾向も避けられません。しかし、社会の中での情報通信の形態はますます多様化するとともに、社会基盤としての広がり故、社会に与えるインパクトの大きさと、その基礎となる科学的範囲はますます広がることが求められます。本学会が、これからの社会を担う中堅、若手の研究者、技術者のみなさんにとって、そうした学際的な科学技術創出の場と、情報共有、人脈形成の場として機能するとともに、社会のリーダーシップを果たされるみなさんにとっても重要な意見交換の場、メッセージ発信の場として役立つことを願い、微力ながら編集理事として貢献する所存です。

略歴
昭和62年慶大・理工・修士課程修了。同年日本電信電話株式会社入社。以後、ATM多元交換方式、ネットワークサービスシステムソフトウェアの研究開発、NTTグループ商用ネットワークの計画設計、NTT研究所の研究開発マネジメント及び人材戦略、の業務を歴任。現在、同社ネットワークサービスシステム研究所所長。

More than 100 years passed since telephone network technology was invented and the "information communication technology" became mature, thus ICT related research tends to focus more and more on "depth", "detail", and "gradual progress." However, the "ICT" in its wider meaning plays more various roles in society and spreads into society as its platform. Therefore, the "ICT" has much more important impact on all the society as well as must be based on much wider scientific areas of technologies. I hope the IEICE must be the place for middle and young researchers and engineers to ignite such cutting edge study areas, exchange information, and create human networks as well as the place for leaders and to-be leaders to exchange opinion and send out messages. I would like to contribute all my ability to the IEICE to become such a place.

He received B.E. and M.E. from Keio University, 1987, and 1989 respectively. He then joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, and has engaged in several areas including, research of ATM based multimedia switching architecture and HW/SW implementation, design and planning of NTT commercial networks, laboratory's research and development management as well as human resource strategy. Now he is the Vice President, General Manager, and head of the NTT Network Service Systems Laboratories.
