抱負：
　21世紀においては、人口爆発に伴う急激な都市化がもたらす環境汚染や治安悪化、地球規模での資源不足等、さらに先進国におけるインフラ維持コスト増加、少子高齢化等、グローバルなレベルの新しい社会課題が山積しており、これらを解決する技術としてICT技術への期待がますます大きくなっています。この期待に沿うためには、ICT技術の研究開発において、これまで以上にグローバル＆オープンかつ業際的なイノベーションの創発が必要になります。
　このような新たなイノベーションの拡大に向けて、産学官のグローバルな協調を促進する本学会の役割はますます重要かつ大きくなります。特に業際イノベーション創発の加速化、産学官におけるリーダシップ強化等に向けた取り組みや活性化が期待されています。
　私は上記の期待を担う本学会の持続的発展に向けて、企業での研究開発運営の経験をいかしつつ、会員数減少に歯止めをかけ、財務状況を健全化・安定化するべく、本学会の価値向上と収益拡大にむけた新施策の立案・実行に尽力する所存です。

プロフィール：
　1985年東京大学計数工学科卒業、NEC伝送通信事業部入社。 NEC入社以来、TDM通信方式、ATM通信方式、ネットワーク管理等における製品開発に従事。1992年Carnegie Mellon Univ. 計算機工学科修士に進み、1994年にMS修得。その後ネットワーク開発本部、中央研究所等にて、 IPネットワーク、パケットスイッチ、ネットワークセキュリティ等におけるアーキテクチャ、通信方式、実装方式の研究開発に従事。 2004年に先端技術大賞フジサンケイビジネスアイ賞を受賞。以降、SDN、ネットワーク仮想化、アドホックネットワーク、無線アクセス、クラウド基盤技術、サイバーセキュリティ、暗号等の研究開発マネージメントに従事。所属学会は電子情報通信学会、情報処理学会、IEEE。

Statement：
　The recent rapid growth of global population and urbanization is going to produce new social problems like environmental pollution, security deterioration, and the shortage of global natural resources. And in the developed world, there are other problems like the decreasing birthrate and aging population, increase of infrastructure maintenance costs. In order to deal with such social problems, ICT technologies gather much attention as a key technology for solving them. However, to encounter diverse social problems, ICT technologies are required to be more sophisticated and are expected to create more global, open, and multidisciplinary innovations.
In such circumstances, the role of IEICE to accelerate global collaboration of industry, government, and academia becomes more and more important. And sustainable progress of IEICE is strongly expected in order to achieve interdisciplinary innovation and strong leadership to lead industry, academia and government.
I would like to lead discussions and execution of financial operations to deal with current problems such as membership enlargement and improvement of financial portfolio. I believe my experience in R&D operation and management could usefully serve in IEICE organization.

Profile:
　In 1985, graduated from the University of Tokyo, Department of Mathematical Engineering and Information Physics, joined in the transmission communication Division in NEC. Since joining in NEC, engaged in product development of TDM communication system, ATM communication system, network management and so on. Graduated from Carnegie Mellon Univ., Computer engineering master's in 1994. After that, in Network Development Division and Central Research laboratories in NEC, engaged in research and development of IP network, packet switch, network security. Was awarded the Advanced Technology Award Fuji Sankei Business Eye Prize in 2004. Since then, he has been engaged in research and development management of SDN, network virtualization, ad hoc networks, wireless access, cloud-based technology, cyber security, cipher and so on. Member of IEICE, the Information Processing Society and IEEE.
