Coming from Kansai International Airport After you get through Immigration and customs, you will arrive at the lobby of the airport.Approach the Information desk at the center of the lobby, and ask for bus #6, which will go to Kobe Sannomiya. You can go out of the airport building, and rights next to the exit doors there are vending machines from which you can buy bus tickets. Choose Kobe Sannomiya. The bus fare is 1,800 yen. The bus stops are in front of the vending machines. Choose #6. The following are departure times (Kansai Airport -> Kobe Sannomiya (about 75 min.)):
Kobe Sannomiya is at the hart of downtown Kobe. When you arrive there, take PortLiner transit system from Sannomiya Station to Shimin-Hiroba Station (about 10 min.). The fare is 240 yen. If you prefer taxi, catch a taxi at Sannomiya station. No tip is needed to be given to the taxi driver. 2. From Shin-Kobe Train Station If you come to Kobe by a bullet train, please choose a Hikari train. (There two other types of bullet trains. Donft take a Nozomi train, which will not stop at Shin-Kobe.)When you arrive Shin-Kobe Train Station, please ask or find Shuttle Bus terminal in front of the station. Shuttle Bus will bring you to the Kobe Portopia Hotel, directly. This bus survice is free.
