2002 Workshop on High Performance Switching
and Routing
May 26-29, 2002 Kobe, Hyogo, Japan

Call for papers in PDF
format
HPSR2002 is not accepting any more papers. The
deadline for paper submission was December 14, 2001.
Conference Scope:
The emerging dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) has caused
tremendous increase in the speed of data transmission during the past few
years. The explosion of Internet traffic has led to a greater need for
high-speed switches and routers. In addition, the switches and routers are
required to provide quality-of-service (QoS) support, e.g., differentiated
services (DS), where packets are classified into several priority levels
and are managed differently. The scope of the workshops has been
continually expanding to switching and routing aspects of IP, optical
networks, and wireless communications. The 2002 Workshop will include
presentations on original research in two parallel tracts and a day of
tutorials.
Submitted papers will undergo three independent reviews, and accepted
papers will appear in the conference proceedings. Original papers are
invited on such topics as (but not limited):
- High-speed Internet Backbone - IP/WDM integration -
ATM networks - Optical networks - Next Generation Mobile
Network - Gigabit/terabit routers - ATM/IP integration - MPLS
and GMPLS - Programmable networks - 3G/4G network evolution -
Routing and signaling protocols - Traffic engineering and
control - Quality of service - Performance measurement and
evaluation - Terminals - Network management and operations -
Tariffing, accounting, and charging
