| 抄録（和） | 近年、連続メディアとしての画像や音声をエンドユ-ザに送信するためにネットワ-クが利用されている。このため、マルチキャストの重要性はますます高まっている。これまでは、決められた送り先、すなわちマルチキャストグル-プのメンバ-にデ-タを送信するという問題に重点が置かれていた。しかし、動的マルチキャストでは、通信を行なう際の送り先のノ-ドをグル-プに加えたり、はずしたりする。この際に最適なル-トを決める方法の一つとして、リル-ティングがある。しかし、この方法では、ATMスイッチ及び端末でのバッファリングやcell-orderingが必要となるため、コストと複雑さが増加する。そこで、ユ-ザやネットワ-クプロバイダ-にとって有益である先端資源予約を用いることで、エンドユ-ザの行動を予測することができる。従って、リル-ティングを行なうことなく、効率良く長時間通信のコストをより少なくするための、より適切なル-ティングが可能となる。 |
| 抄録（英） | Multicast has become increasingly important as networks are used to carry continuous media traffic such as voice and video to the end user. The emphasis has been on examining the problem with a source transmitting to a fixed set of destinations (the members of the multicast group). In dynamic multicasting, destination nodes are joining and leaving the group during the communication period. A re-routing may produce an optimal route, but is will require buffering and cell-ordering at the ATM switches or at the terminal, thus increasing the cost and complexity. As advance resource reservation is becoming popular and because it is convenient for both the user and the networks providers, the future behavior of the end-users can be predictable. Thus a better routing could be possible, without re-routing, which efficiently minimize the over-all cost of a long time communication session. |
