| 抄録（和） | 本報告では,蓄積された音声とビデオの転送を対象に四つのメディア同期(リップシンク)方式の比較を行う.そのうちの二つは,音声とビデオを単一のトアンスポ-トコネクション上にインタ-リ-ブして転送する(これを1コネクション方式という).他の二つは,メディア毎に別コネクションを用いる(2コネクション方式).各コネクション方式には,同期制御を行う場合と行わない場合との二通りがある.筆者らは,トランスポ-トプロトコルとしてTCPを採用し,ATM LAN及びATM・無線統合LAN上にこれら4方式を実装した.そして,与えられたネットワ-クとトラヒック条件に対してどの方向が最も適しているかを明らかにするため,同期の平均二乗誤差,総ポ-ズ時間,スル-プット,総出力時間を測定した. |
| 抄録（英） | This paper compares four schemes of lip synchronization control between voice and video for stored media transmission. Two out of the four interleave voice and video for transmission over a sigle transport connection (single-connection approach). The other two establish separate connections for the individual media streams (two-connection approach). In each of the two approaches, we have the alternative of exerting the control or not. We implemented the four schemes on an ATM LAN and on an interconnected ATM-wireless LAN under the TCP protocol. The mean square error of synchronization, total pause time, throughput and total output time were measured in each of the schemes to find out which schemes is the most suitable for a given condition of the underlying communication network and traffic. |
