| 抄録（和） | ネットワ-クが研究・教育の場において必要不可欠なメディアとの認識が一般的となり,点の結合と考えられてきたネットワ-クも,面としてのつながりが重要視される様になってきた.地域ネットワ-クは,この面を構成する方法論として重要な役割を担っている.茨城県においてもつくば市を中心とした地域ネットワ-クRIC-Tsukubaが構築され活動を行っている.大学や研究機関を中心とした発足したネットワ-クではあるが,利用者層の広がりとともに,より社会生活に密着したネットワ-クへの進展が望まれている.本稿においてはつくば地域ネットワ-クの成り立ちと現状そして今後に向けての動き等につき述べる. |
| 抄録（英） | Computer network is a compulsory media for educations and scientific researches today,and is growing in rapid speed.At the first stage,a network was just a linked hosts.It is regarded as a linked area which consists of linked hosts nowadays.The concept of Regional Networks is getting to be more important for the constructing strategy of Information Netwroks.RIC-Tsukuba is a regional network centered at Tsukuba in Ibaraki prefecture.It started as a network among universities and research institutes.The network is now expected to be a infratool for everyday life in the regional area.In this article the history and future plants of RIC-Tsukuba is discussed. |
