| 抄録（和） | B-ISDN標準化の進展に合わせ、これを映像通信サ-ビスに利用する場合に必要な映像符号化標準の作成作業がCCITT SGXVに設けられたATM映像符号化専門家グル-プで進められている。本資料は、その進捗状況を報告するもので、まず想定されるアプリケ-ション、目標ビットレ-トと画像品質、処理遅延時間、既存標準・関連標準との関係、などの外部条件を述べる。次に1994年の標準化を目指した作業計画と作業方法を紹介し、最後に映像フォ-マット、VBRとCBRの比較、ハイブリッド符号化方式に基づくソ-ス符号化、ネットワ-クとのインタ-フェ-スなど、いくつかの技術課題について検討状況を報告する。これらの作業結果は多様な映像通信サ-ビスに適用可能な汎用的符号化勧告H.26×として結実する予定である。 |
| 抄録（英） | In response to the progress of the B-ISDN study,the Experts Group for ATM Video Coding established in CCITT SGXV has been working on video coding appropriate for the ATM transport of B-ISDN.This paper presents the current work plan and work progress of the Experts Group,focusing on picture format,comparison of VBR vs CBR,source coding algorithm based on hybrid coding and network aspects of the video coding.It is expected that these studies will produce Recommendation H.26X in 1994,Which is a generic video coding applicable to various audiovisual services. |
