| 抄録（和） | ATMのVBRサ-ビスは、送信情報量の変動を許容する。したがって、VBR映像符号化では、映像品質一定の実現が期待されている。本報告では、ネットワ-クでの統計多重効果およびユ-セ-ジパラメ-タ制御(UPC)を考慮して、VBR映像符号化とCBR映像符号化の関係を明らかにした。さらに、VBR映像符号化を実現するための条件について述べた。 |
| 抄録（英） | Variable Bit Rate (VBR) service in ATM networks allows the fluctuation of user information bit rate.Therefore VBR video coding technique is expected to achieve constant picture quality.This paper clarifies the relation between VBR and CBR video coding from a standpoint of statistical multiplex gain and Usage Parameter Control (UPC).Furthermore the important items which are required for realizing the VBR video transmission are listed up. |
