| 抄録（英） | Nowadays, Reed-Solemon code has been widely appled to various data communication systems and data storage systems. The code is usually transmitted by binary symbols and is usually decoded on GF(2^m). Therefore, in such case the error correction is not always matched to a channel in that case. We propose a new method of matching the code to a differential QAM system. The method is based on a substitution of syndrome. That is, a more likely error pattern with its symbol weight > t is substituted for a less likely error pattern with its symbol weight (]SY.ltoreq.〜t.It is clear that the new method is able to improve a post-decoding block error probability.Applying our method to Reed-Solomon code with its minimum weight 3, we show that the code is capable of correcting some errors which is frequently occured in a differential QAM system. |
