| 抄録（和） | インターネット上の転送トラヒックに占めるコンテンツ配信の割合が大きくなっていることから，コンテンツ配信を効率よく実現するコンテンツオリエンテッドネットワーク(Content Oriented Network:CON)が注目を集めている．CONでは，ユーザはコンテンツそのものの取得に関心があり，どこからそして誰からコンテンツを得ているのかには関心がないというコンテンツ配信の特徴から，複数箇所からのコンテンツ取得を許すなど，従来のネットワークでは提供できなかった柔軟なコンテンツ取得を可能とする．ロケーションオリエンテッドなインターネットでは，パケットはルータから転送されると異なる宛先IPアドレスには再利用できないため破棄されるが，CONでは同一コンテンツを所望するユーザのコンテンツ要求に対し再利用可能となるため，ルータにキャッシュを配備することが一般的である．このコンテンツを一時的にルータで蓄積するIn-Networkキャッシュに対して，様々なアプローチの研究成果が発表されている．本稿では，まずIn-Networkキャッシュの有効性に関する賛否双方の観点に立つ論文を紹介した上で，肯定的観点の論文においてIn-Networkキャッシュの有効性について否定的論文では十分に評価されていないことが示されていることを紹介する．さらに，In-Networkキャッシュの効果をより向上させるためのアプローチとして，特にCaching DecisionならびにContent Request Routingの観点で発表されている興味深いアプローチを紹介する． |
| 抄録（英） | Content oriented networks have been proposed as clean slate network architecture for content distribution services. Content distribution services have a content oriented feature of “users only care about retrieval of content itself and do not care about from where it is obtained”. From this content oriented feature, content data packets can be reused for content requests of other users for a corresponding content even after they have already been forwarded in a router. So, a router in content oriented networks is generally equipped with its local cache where content data packets passing through it are temporarily stored. Lots of interesting works for this In-Network Cache have been proposed. This paper first introduces well-known debate about effectiveness of In-Network Cache and shows that con papers fail to correctly evaluate In-Network Cache performance. There are many factors which dominate In-Network Cache performance. These include caching decision, content request routing, and replacement policy. In this paper, we focus on the first two viewpoints, caching decision and content request routing, and survey interesting approaches for In-Network Cache. |
