| 抄録（和） | 飼育下繁殖で増殖するために、1981年に最後の5羽が捕獲されて日本のトキは野生絶滅した。その後、中国産トキによる飼育下繁殖が軌道に乗り、環境省はトキを佐渡島に野生復帰することを決定した。2008年9月に最初の試験放鳥が開始され、昨年10月までの7回の放鳥で、合計のべ108羽のトキが放鳥されている。放鳥して最初の3年間（2009〜2011年）は、野外での繁殖は様々な理由でうまくいかなかったが、放鳥から4年目の2012年に３巣で８羽のヒナが孵り、再導入への道がひらけつつある。本講演では、佐渡島で行われている再導入プログラムの現状と今後の展望について紹介する。 |
| 抄録（英） | The Crested ibis, Nipponia nippon, is endemic to east Asia and was historically widespread from Russia, China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan. Japanese population was finally extinct in the wild in 1981, when last 5 birds were captured on Sado Island and were brought into a captive breeding program. In order to re-establish a wild population a reintroduction has conducted on Sado Island since September 2008. Released individuals from captive reared population showed low reproductive success. Hatching failure or infertility might be major causes of low reproductive success. Only 8 chicks of 3 nests were fledged in 2012, so far. |
