| 抄録（和） | 画像圧縮技術は，画像データの伝送及び蓄積効率の観点から，今日なくてはな\r\nらない重要な技術である．\r\n現在は，様々な効率の良い画像圧縮法が存在するため，新たに所与の画像を圧\r\n縮する際はそれらの手法により効果的に圧縮することができる．一方，世の中\r\nに存在する既に圧縮された多くの画像は旧来の JPEG 方式を用いたものであり，\r\nその中でも特に高圧縮率で圧縮された画像の画質改善の需要が存在\r\nする．\r\nJPEG 画像の画質改善手法として，これまで様々な手法が提案されているが，\r\nその中でも効果的であるものとして，JPEG 再適用に基づく手法が提案されて\r\nいる．この手法は，所与のJPEG復号画像を様々な方向にシフトさせたものを\r\nJPEGによって再圧縮・復号し，それらの加重平均をとることでJPEG画像の画質\r\nを改善する手法である．\r\n本論文では、当該加重平均の重み係数を，データベースから自動的に選択した画\r\n像から生成することで更なる画質改善を行なう手法を提案する．また，数値実験\r\nにより提案法の有効性を検証する。 |
| 抄録（英） | Image compression is one of important technologies in the fields of\r\nimage processing in terms of efficient transmission and storing of\r\nimages.\r\nSince there exist efficient image compression methods today, we can\r\ncompress a given image by those methods efficiently.\r\nHowever, many existing compressed images were compressed by\r\nthe conventional JPEG.\r\nThus, we need a technique for improving the quality of JPEG images\r\nespecially with low bit-rates.\r\nMany methods for improving the quality of JPEG images have been\r\nproposed.\r\nAmong them, a method based on re-application of JPEG is recognized as\r\none of efficient methods.\r\nThe key idea of this method is adopting a weighted sum of images\r\nconstructed by re-application of JPEG, which means compression and\r\ndecoding, to various shifted version of a given JPEG image.\r\n\r\nIn this paper, we propose a method for constructing a better weights \r\nfor the weighted sum of images in order to improve the performance of\r\nthe method based on re-application of JPEG, incorporating a image\r\ndatabase and novel distance measures between two images.\r\nWe also show some results of numerical examples in order to verify the\r\nefficacy of the proposed method. |
