| 抄録（和） | IEEE ICC 2011は，2011年6月5日から6月9日まで京都国際会館で開催された．IEEE ComSocのフラグシップ国際会議が日本で開催されるのは，GLOBECOM ’87以来24年ぶりである．ICC 2011はIEEE ComSoc，電子情報通信学会 通信ソサイエティ，日本学術会議の共催で行われた． 45カ国から約1,800名の一流の研究者・技術者の参加を得，成功裡に終了した．本稿は筆者の担当したICC 2011のメインプログラムであるシンポジウムについてまとめたものである．論文投稿前のシンポジウムチェアの選定，各シンポジウムにおける査読の要となるTPCメンバの召集依頼，論文査読管理，多重投稿や剽窃論文の処理，採択論文決定，シンポジウムにおけるセッション構成について述べている．また，想定外であった3月11日の東日本大震災の影響についても述べている． |
| 抄録（英） | IEEE ICC 2011 was held from June 5 to 9, 2011 in the Kyoto International Conference Center, Kyoto, Japan. The IEEE ComSoc flagship conference was held in Japan 24 years after GLOBECOM ’87 had been held in Tokyo. ICC 2011 was sponsored by IEEE ComSoc, IEICE-CS, and the Science Council of Japan. Approximately 1,800 researchers and engineers from nearly 45 countries attended the conference, and we had a very successful conference. The author served as ICC 2011 TPC Vice Chair w ho is charged with a main program, symposia. Based on this experience, this paper describes the preparations, management and operations of the symposia including symposium co-chair selection, symposium TPC member invitation, paper review check, multiple submissions and plagiarism handling, paper acceptance and rejection judgement, session structure. It also describes issues occurred after the Great East Japan Earthquake, March 11, 2011. |
