| 抄録（和） | 本報告では，IEEE 802.11音声・ビデオIP伝送に，QoE向上を狙うビデオ出力方式SCS（Switching between error Concealment and frame Skipping）を適用する．この方式は，1ビデオフレーム内でスライス欠落のために誤り補償された割合に応じて，誤り補償方式（誤り補償したフレームを出力する）とフレームスキップ方式（その出力をスキップする）とを切り替えるものである．これまで，有線のネットワークを対象として，SCSの有効性が明らかにされている．しかし，無線ネットワーク特有の性質がSCSの有効性にどのような影響を及ぼすかは明らかになっていなかった．シミュレーションによるQoS評価ならびにQoE評価実験により，IEEE802.11無線ネットワークにおいてもSCSが音声・ビデオ伝送のQoE向上に有効であることを示す． |
| 抄録（英） | We apply a QoE-based video output scheme called SCS (Switching between error Concealment and frame Skipping) to audio-video IP transmission over IEEE 802.11 wireless networks. The scheme switches from error concealment to frame skipping when the percentage of video slices error-concealed in a frame exceeds a threshold value. The effectiveness of the scheme has been demonstrated in wired networks. However, it has not been discussed how the characteristics of wireless networks affect the effectiveness of SCS. This report shows that SCS is also effective in QoE enhancement of audio-video IP transmission over the IEEE 802.11 wireless networks through QoS assessment by simulation and QoE assessment by a subjective experiment. |
